In the June 1-15 issue the article ‘Total Abandonment to the will of God (Kenosis)’ in relation or in comparison with the life of Blessed Maria Teresa Scrilli helps to think what the meaning of Christian discipleship is in its true nature. The words of Jesus ‘those who wish to follow him shall deny himself/herself and taking his/her cross follow Him’ gets a satisfactory explanation for the article. It explains also how a person who is actively involved in the world can be a spiritual person. Kenosis first of all is an attitude of mind that slowly lead one to become detached of everything even though he/she is involved in day to day affairs of life. A true Christian is a person of kenosis in all realms of his/her life. Do whatever God entrusts you and think yourselves that you are only an instrument in the hands of God. The article proposes that one must grow in that attitude. May such kind of articles also come in the ‘Light of Truth’.
