Oneness without Otherness

“Many have tried to find ways of salvation. The reports they bring back are often incomplete and apt to mislead even when they are not in words but in music or paint. But they are by no means useless; and not the worst of them are those which speak of oneness with God. But in so far as we become one with Him He becomes one with us . . .  This love, I suppose, is not benevolence but something that comes of the oneness with one another of which Christ spoke.  And what is oneness without otherness?
