Chapter-1
The Friend in the Pyramid
There was a curious little rabbit named Fluffy. She loved to explore and discover new places. Once, she walked into a large forest. She wandered on until the green gave way to a vast golden desert. The heat shimmered off the sand in waves. From the horizon, a tall camel approached—his head crowned with a bejewelled circlet.
“I am King Humpy,”
The camel announced in a deep, regal voice “And you must be Fluffy, the traveller of many lands.”
Fluffy tilted her head.
“Yes… But how do you know my name?”
King Humpy gave a slow, knowing smile.
“Word travels far on desert winds. And I have news for you—a friend of yours, a hedgehog named Sandy, is imprisoned at the top of one of the great pyramids.”
Fluffy’s ears perked.
“Sandy?! Where is he? I’ll save him.”
The camel’s expression darkened.
“Be warned… no one has ever reached the top alive. Many have tried—none returned.”
“I’m not ‘many,’”
Fluffy replied with quiet determination.
King Humpy lowered his long neck, handing her an old map.
“Follow this and may the desert spirits watch over you.”
Fluffy hopped away, the hot sand crunching beneath her paws. She travelled all day, reaching the pyramid just as the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky blood-red. But she quickly realized she had a problem.
“Where’s the entrance?” she muttered, circling the massive stone structure.
Finally, her paw brushed against a metal ring hidden beneath the sand. With a grunt, she pulled it open revealing a small hatch in the ground.
She hesitated, peering into the darkness.
“Well,” she sighed, “adventure never waits.”
Inside, the air was cool and dry. A torch flickered on the wall, casting long shadows on a three-way path ahead.
A weathered sign hung from the ceiling:
“Only one leads to the pyramid. The other two are traps.”
Fluffy squinted at the paths.
“Left feels too obvious… right feels too suspicious… middle it is.”
She padded forward slowly. The deeper she went, the more the torchlight faded, replaced by the glow of faintly shimmering runes etched into the walls—animals, stars, and curling symbols that seemed to breathe. Her paws echoed against the stone as she entered a vast chamber.
