A long silence was followed by this reply. But who is enslaving us? came the next question. My reply was equally calm and composed, “either check your pocket, or check your wallet”. Yes, nothing but our mobile phones or smartphones as we call them. But are they smart as we think? No they are not. The term smartphone was first used in 1997 when Erickson employed by Sony Corporation came out with the novel term to designate his new equipment which can be carried from place to place instead of hanging to a specific space.
