QUESTION: Do you have a stand on Fr Stan Swamy?
ANSWER: Yes, certainly, now that I feel that this is certainly a case of victimisation, which is not at all acceptable. It is veritably an act of injustice to arrest Fr Stan Swamy, who is an 83-year-old man. It is a planned move. It shows people who want to foist a case on some-one will go to any extent for that. This way of victimising a man who fights injustice by branding him as a terrorist or Naxalite is not at all acceptable in a democratic country. Now we have to be much more authentic and truthful. It is pathetic that our legal system has been hijacked by some vested interests.
