“Jesus is actually saying “before Abraham was, I am.” I was there before Abraham, and also with Abraham. I was there when the three angels visited Abraham. That was Me! I was there every time someone asked for a cup of cold water; and I will be there in the future every time some-body asks for, and gives one, even if they don’t realize it’s Me. Now as I understand it, this refusal by Jesus as prosopon, to be reduced to a singular face/person, is the refusal of possession.”
