Q: How far has Corona affected Mizoram? Do you think we are going to have a post Corona era?
A: By God’s grace, in Mizoram there was only one case, which surfaced in the beginning of the pandemic, and relief work is going on. We are able to shut ourselves in our own houses, because we know that we have only a remote chance of checking the patients with Covid-19 symptoms. Maharashtra has the highest number of cases. If a cure for it is not found, we may see a tragic climb of cases. All were busy making money in a greedy corporate world, where money decides every-thing. In the Bible we have the Tower of Babel, building which man tried to prove his strength with arrogance. Well, with different languages, how could they plan their strategies? History has witnessed the climbing down of man’s arrogance. We were after very big structures, but now we recognize they will not save us. Let’s hope that it serves as an occasion for us to know our own limitations. The smallest is challenging the biggest. It is an irony.
