Q: What is at stake in the current general election to the parliament?
A: An Election brings a new government to power for the development and growth of a country and for holding together the people without any discrimination. It is incumbent upon the new government to take care of the entire nation. The most important thing for a country like India I feel is a unifying perceptive. We should be proud of our Constitution, which is far better in comparison with that of many other countries. Our Constitution has many articles that uphold humanism to the full. That’s why equality, fraternity and freedom are protected. The country itself will lose something very precious if the Constitution is tampered with, which is now a very serious concern. There are serious fears that fundamental principles laid out by the Constitution may be shaken. The electorate should use its votes to protect it.
