Friends! Have you ever heard about the Little Flower of Lisieux?

Once upon a time, in France, a little girl named Thérèse was born on January 2, 1873. Her parents, Louis and Zélie Martin, loved her very much. Thérèse was the youngest of nine children, but only five little girls grew up — and they were all sisters!

When Thérèse was just a little girl, something very sad happened: her mommy got very sick and went to heaven. Thérèse missed her so much, but she began to grow closer and closer to God.

Thérèse had one big dream: to love God with all her heart. When she was only 15 years old, she joined a special group of nuns called the Carmelites. Most girls had to be older to join, but Thérèse asked and prayed so hard that they made a special exception for her.

Thérèse didn’t do big or famous things. She didn’t travel the world or build huge buildings. Instead, she had a special secret called her “Little Way.”

Her “Little Way” was simple but powerful: ✨ Do small things with great love for God.

She helped with chores, smiled at others, and was kind even when it was hard — all as gifts of love for Jesus. Thérèse showed that you don’t have to be big to do something beautiful for God.

As she got older, Thérèse became very sick. She had a terrible cough and it was hard for her to breathe. Even though she was in pain, she never complained. She kept loving God through it all.

Before she went to heaven, Thérèse wrote a little book about her life and her “Little Way.” She called it “The Story of a Soul.” This book became very famous and helped people all over the world learn how to love God in the small, simple moments of everyday life.

Thérèse went to heaven on September 30, 1897, when she was only 24 years old. But her love keeps blooming like a flower.

We remember her as St. Thérèse of Lisieux, or “The Little Flower.” Her special feast day is October 1st. She reminds us that even the tiniest flower is precious in God’s garden.

So remember, friends —
🌸 You can be a Little Flower too, by doing small things with great love! 🌸
