Two followers of Jesus were walking on the road to Emmaus. They were sad and were talking about what had happened to Jesus. Suddenly a stranger (Jesus) joined them. Walking along with them he asked,
“What are you talking about?”
They told about how Jesus had been crucified and buried and that some women had gone to His tomb, but was found empty.
Then Jesus started to explain the scripture.
The disciples invited Jesus to stay with them. While they sat together to eat, Jesus took the bread and blessed it, broke it and gave it to them. Suddenly their eyes were opened:
“O’ Jesus !!!” They recognized him.
At that instant Jesus disappeared. They ran back to Jerusalem and shared this apparition with others.
