Once Peter went to a village called Lydda, he met a man named Ieneas, who had been paralyzed for eight long years.
Peter prayed and said to him, “Jesus makes you well. Get up and pick up your bed.”
Ieneas got up at once. Meanwhile, a believer, Tabitha died in nearby village of Joppa.
She spent her time doing good and helping the poor.
When Peter arrived, her family gathered around him, crying and showing all the clothes that Tabitha had stitched. Peter sent them all out of the room, and knelt down and prayed.
He then turned to the body of Tabitha and said, “Tabitha, Wake up!” She opened her eyes.
He then presented her alive to the believers and her family.
The news about this incident spread all over the village.
