A long time ago, in a small town called Assisi in Italy, a boy named Francis was born in 1181. His father was very rich, and Francis had everything he wanted—fine clothes, parties, and music. He was a happy, fun-loving boy! 🎵✨
When Francis grew up, he went to fight in a war. But he was captured and had to stay in prison for a whole year. It was a sad and lonely time, but there, Francis began to feel God speaking to his heart.
One day, while praying in a quiet little church, Francis heard Jesus’ voice say, “Francis, repair my house; it is falling down.” Francis thought God wanted him to fix the church building, so he started doing that! But soon he understood—God wanted him to help people love and follow Him again. 🙏
Francis decided to give up his money and fancy clothes. He started to live simply, helping the poor and caring for everyone. He loved animals and nature so much that he called them his brothers and sisters. He even talked to birds and animals, and they listened to him! 🐦🐿️
Francis began a group called the Franciscan Order, where people lived in peace, joy, and love. He showed that being close to God is more important than being rich. 💛
St. Francis died on October 3, 1226, and every year on October 4, we celebrate his feast day. 🎉
He teaches us to love God, care for others, and protect all of God’s creatures. 🌸🌍
