While Jesus was teaching in the temple,
the religious law teachers brought a woman
who had been caught for adultery.
They pulled her to Jesus and asked,
“Teacher, the law of Moses says to
stone these women. What do you say?”
Jesus stooped down and
wrote on the dust with his finger.
They kept demanding an answer.
Then Jesus said,
“All right, but let the
one who has never sinned
throw the first stone!”
The accusers stepped away one by one.
Jesus remained watching,
and then he said to the woman
“Did any one of them condemn you?”
“No Lord.” She cried and Jesus said
“Neither do I.
Go, and sin no more.”
