Pregnancy is one of the blessings a woman can have in her life. Women who have had the honour of carrying and bearing child will understand what I mean. One of life’s greatest is the ability to become pregnant and carry a child in your womb as it develops into a fully functioning human being. Pregnancy, for all its benefits, is not without its challenges.

While you may be carrying a child, God is the one who made the child possible. Our lives’ worth should never be determined by the circumstances of our conception. The child may have your eyes and hair colour, but he or she is a completely new and unique human being created by God’s hands!

The most obvious benefit of pregnancy is the promise of a new life. Nothing beats the joy of welcoming a new child into the world, and women are the ones who get to create the ideal environment for the unborn child to grow in a safe environment. Pregnancy allows a woman to share months of intimacy with her baby before the baby is exposed to the rest of the world. The months of pregnancy are such a special time of bonding for mothers and babies.

Some of the best pregnancy blessings are less serious and more enjoyable. Pregnant women appear to be adored and cared for wherever they go. Everyone becomes a woman’s best friend during pregnancy. Doors are suddenly opened, heavy objects are lifted, and delicious meals are prepared for you. Few seasons in life will provide you with such opportunities, so make the most of the attention you receive during your pregnancy.While I have enjoyed my pregnancy, I would be lying if I said it was simple. No,pregnancy complicates a woman’s life. Few women survive pregnancy without becoming ill or frustrated by their obvious weight gain. Sleeping is not always easy when you have a baby growing and moving inside of you, nor is keeping up with life’s demands when all you want to do is rest.

Whatever difficulties pregnancy may bring, nothing compares to the joy and privilege of being a part of the process of bringing a new life into the world.
