Peter said, “We ought to obey God rather than men.”
and so he began preaching about Jesus to the Pharisee’s council.
The Pharisee’s Sanhedrin council heard this
and they were furious and plotted to kill the apostles.
Then one of the Pharisee rabbi named Gamaliel stood up and said,
“I say to you, keep away from these men and
leave them alone, for if this work is of men,
it will come to nothing.
But if it is of God, you cannot stop these men.
You will only find
yourself fighting against God.”
The council accepted his words.
