In the name of Jesus my dear young friends it is be statistically observed that 60% of teens and 30% of committed Christian teens struggle with depression. 35% of teens and 12% of committed Christian teens struggle with suicidal thoughts. 50% of teens and 36% of churchgoing Christian teens struggle with pornography. Why such things are been faced with Christian youth? Have we ever thought of the reason why? Even though right from the very tender age of 3 Christian Catholic children join Angel kids in Sunday catechism where they are taught how to make a sign of cross, Jesus is our friend our Savior and till 12th standard they are been spiritually grown in Christian faith formation. Still Christian youth face multiple challengeswhile leading a Professional ethical Christian life.If you want to make in yourself a difference as a Christian youth, you should remember that it is not just about going to church or reading Holy Bible but by living a Christian life every single day.
What does it take to go next level in life? What does Bible say about work ethic? What is Christian’s professional ethic?
Why is it necessary to be accountable? Everyone is called to be accountable in some way in Life.(Ephesians 6:1-10). Husbands and wives are accountable to be faithful to each other. Children are called to be accountable in their obedience to parents. Employees are called to be accountable to their employers and so on. Accountability builds good character on this life journey and it is very important lesson to learn early. Other vital lessons.
Modelling good Christian values in life you can be both a good Christian and a successful businessperson. If you have any doubts on how to apply your Christian values to your business dealings, turn to the Bible.
1. Be Honest in Business Setting:
Whether you are a new intern or you are at a peak level of management honesty should be the foundation of all you do. It also sets an example for others and provides consistency in the workplace. As you progress in your career, you are more likely to be considered for advancement, opportunity, and colleagueship.
2. Treat People Right in Business
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. (Matthew 7:12)
This golden rule is one of the first lessons we all learn as children. It is been observed that companies that treat their employees well also happen to be quite successful.
3. Be Fair In Business Practices:
And if thou sell ought unto thy neighbor, or buys ought of thy neighbor’s hand, ye shall not oppress one another. (Leviticus 25:14)
While it may be instinctual to take care of your employees, Doing what is right may not be always easy, but being fair enhances your reputation and helps you to build business relationships that could serve you far into the future.
4. Invest wisely in Businesses:
For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost to see if he has enough to complete it? Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who observe it begin to ridicule him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’ (Luke 14:28)
Business exist to make profit. There is nothing unchristian about earning profit, striving hard to succeed, and taking care of your family. But Bible teaches us to be wise in all endeavors. choosing good advisors, living within your means, investing with care, and planning for tomorrow whether for you personally or the company for which you work
5. Donate To Worthy Causes.
Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed (2 Corinthians 9:6)
Just as companies that treat its employees well tend to do better, those organizations that give back to the community also reap rewards that are both altruistic and financial. Generosity, whether that comes in the form of giving money, expertise, time, or care is a bedrock of Christian ethics.
Many successful business leaders understand that faith and success need to be mutually inclusive. Christian youth can bring Christian principles into work and be someone who leads with authority, compassion and integrity.
