Conversion of Saul

Children Bible Story-89

Saul was a Pharisee who intensely persecuted the followers of Jesus. The high priest ordered Saul to arrest all Christians in Damascus. As Saul approached the city of Damascus, suddenly a light from the sky flashed upon him. He fell from his horse and heard a voice saying, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”
“Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked.
“I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” the voice replied.
“Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone. Saul got up from the ground, but lost his eye sight.
He was asked to seek help from Ananias, a faithful Christian in Damascus.
Ananias placed his hands on Saul and prayed. Just then something fell from Saul’s eyes and he was able to see again.
Saul was baptized and was named Paul.
