Many people allow difficulties to define who they are. But Anurag Rawat chose a different path.
Diagnosed with cerebral palsy at a young age, Anurag faced challenges that most of us can hardly imagine. The condition affected his movement and coordination. He had to leave school after Class 8, and many people believed that he had no future. His dream of joining the Indian Army like his father seemed impossible.
However, Anurag refused to let other people’s opinions decide his destiny.
Instead of giving up, he worked hard every single day. He trained his body, strengthened his mind, and turned his struggles into motivation. In 2026, he achieved something extraordinary by completing the Niti Ultra Marathon, a 10-kilometre run at an altitude of nearly 12,000 feet in Uttarakhand. Running in such conditions is difficult even for experienced athletes because of the thin mountain air.

His achievements did not end there. Anurag also completed a 300-kilometre cycling journey and now inspires more than two lakh followers on social media with messages of hope and determination.
Anurag’s story teaches young people an important lesson: your circumstances do not determine your future. Obstacles may slow you down, but they do not have to stop you. When others say, “You can’t,” courage and perseverance can help you prove otherwise.
As Christians, we are reminded of the words of St. Paul: “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).
Anurag Rawat’s life encourages us to believe in ourselves, trust in God, and never give up on our dreams.
