The Religious Illiteracy – the Sixth Wound of the Church?

The religious illiteracy mentioned by Subhash Anand from Pope Francis address to the bishops of Poland on 27th July 2016, is the sixth wound of the Roman Catholic Church along with the existing five wounds of authoritarianism, clericalism, juridicism, triumphalism and consumerism. These six bleeding wounds of the Church clearly reveal that the role of the Holy Spirit in the Church is replaced by the hierarchy, whom Pope Francis called narcissists in his interview with La Republica’s Founder Eugenio Scalfari on 24th September 2013. The effect of this replacement of the role of Holy Spirit is seen the disappearance of the divine star, the Holy Spirit (Matthew 2:1-9) in the so called Herod’s palace created by the hierarchy of the Church through the income of the laity, who blindly believe that donating to the needs of Church is as same as donating for the Gospel values of Christ. When the donation of laity does not serve the realization of Gospel values by attracting as many people as possible to the servant Christ crucified and risen, then we are repeating what Judas the traitor did.
