The Catholic Church celebrated Prison Ministry on Sunday 14th August. This should be an occasion for parishes to help the prisoners in the prisons located within their parishes to live a respectful, meaningful, decent and fruitful life. Regular visits should be made by the parishioners and console the innocent prisoners who are false convicted. Eucharistic ministers can also administer Holy Eucharist to Catholic prisoners and pray for them. Similarly prisoners could be taught self employment schemes which will help them to lead a decent and meaningful life once they are released from the prisons.
