One side of the story is that facts may be twisted but the other side of the story is that Catholic Church should take things for granted especially when people represent their views. There must be a mechanism of dealing with dissent and it should be to our times. I wish the Church authorities realise that we have lost the good will of the people, perhaps because of the way we run our education apostolate today. The poor can’t enter our portals today. Whom do we educate? We train RSS and BJP cadres’ children mostly. If someone takes up a research, I am sure that it will prove this point in most of North, East and Western India. Even in South India, we are losing our clout with the govt. because of our pride. The pride is that we are the best in education. We have a number of private institutions today who do better in the field of education charging less fees. Unfortunately the ones (priests and nuns) who enter into education apostolate have qualifications but the question is “are they suitable?” One has to reflect on these incidents and must not consider it as a stray one. I wish we address this soon or things could go wrong for all our educational institutions which are run for the poor.
