Today some Christians in our country think that we are facing persecution in India. We may be challenged by what Pope Francis said in a speech on 22 June: “the sin of war committed by nations has caused great suffering to Christians in the Middle East” (reported by Light of Truth, 1-15 July 2018, p.4). He then added: “there is also our sin in the Middle East: the sin of incoherence between life and faith” (quoted, ibid.). Outsiders may grab or destroy our institutions. That may well be a blessing in disguise. Only we Christians can damage the Church of Jesus. Nobody can ever destroy it because the Risen Lord walks with us.
