The soldiers made fun of Jesus. Jesus cried,
“My God, My God, why have you forsaken me? Why did you leave me alone?”
The thief on the right asked Him to remember him after his death.
Jesus grants his request; “Today you will be with me in Paradise.”
Jesus looked up and said,
“Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”
Later, Jesus knew that the end is near and he said, “It is finished.”
Jesus bowed His head and gave up his soul.
One of the main soldiers who witnessed His death said,
“Surely He was the Son of God.”
